August (Month 8) Special Program at Yeouido Saetgang Ecological Park Learning About Biomimetic Technology in Saetgang Forest This indoor and outdoor ecology program, led by a professional guide, explores biomimetic technology—the development of new technologies or products by imitating structures, functions, and principles found in nature—and helps participants generate ideas, develop creative thinking, and see things from new perspectives. Various types of biomimetic technology - Extreme-environment survival substances (tardigrade) - Conductive adhesive pads (gecko) - Aircraft black boxes (woodpecker) - Snake robots (snake) - Shinkansen (kingfisher) - Painless injection needles (viper fangs) - 360-degree cameras (sand bubbler crab) - Swimsuits (shark skin) - Air-conditioner outdoor units (humpback whale) - Medical adhesives (mussel byssal threads) - Bulletproof vests (spider silk) - RHex exploration robots (cockroach) - Velcro tape (lizard) - Helicopter propellers (maple seeds), and more 3.
