Great Figures You Meet on Namsan Stories of the people depicted in statues on Namsan, from Silla heroes to independence activists! A tour program that explores the lives and achievements of historical figures connected to Namsan and offers time to understand the meaning of Korean history and culture (Move to the field site after indoor instruction) - Namsan's historical and cultural standing (Namsan as one of the inner four mountains and the southern Vermilion Bird) - Why statues were erected on Namsan - Namsan reclaimed by great figures • A hero of Silla • A teacher of Joseon • A reformer of Joseon • The sacrifices of independence activists who defended the country • A leader who envisioned the dream of the Republic of Korea • A hero who dreamed of peace - Make a Taegeukgi pinwheel • Reflect on the meaning of patriotism learned from great historical figures - Field tour Program Overview - Dates: August (8) 2, 9, 16, and 23 (Sundays) - Hours: 10:00–11:30 14:00–15:30 - Participants: Families with children in grade 3 or above - Capacity: 20 participants - Meeting point: Hohyeondang (San 1-44, Hoehyeon-dong 1-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul) - What to bring: Comfortable clothes, hat, sneakers, and drinking water - How to participate: Seoul Public Service Reservation (https://yeyak.seoul.go.kr) Directions - From Exit 2 of Hangangjin Station (Subway Line 6) → take bus 405 (in front of Blue Square) → get off at Namsan Library → walk from the Hanyangdoseong Historic Site Museum toward Baekbeom Square → meet inside Hohyeondang to the right of Baekbeom Square - From Exit 4 of Seoul Station → take bus 402 or 405 at the Sungnyemun bus stop → get off at Namsan Library → walk from the Hanyangdoseong Historic Site Museum toward Baekbeom Square → meet inside Hohyeondang to the right of Baekbeom Square - Address: San 1-44, Hoehyeon-dong 1-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul 4. Precautions ■ Please cancel through 'My Page' at least 3 days in advance. ■ Temperatures above 33℃ (when a heat wave advisory is issued) / below -12℃ (when a cold wave advisory is issued) (Based on the Korea Meteorological Administration forecast at around 5:00 PM on the day before the program) ■ Rain (heavy rain) or snow (heavy snowfall) (Based on the Korea Meteorological Administration forecast at around 5:00 PM on the day before the program) ※ Separate notice will be provided if the program is canceled due to conditions at the site ■ During the program, 2–3 photos will be taken for program reporting purposes (wide views and the backs of the group).
