As you have fun, experience nature's hidden changes firsthand and discover curiosity, creativity, and the importance of living things! [The Silent Hunter: Praying Mantis] 1. Walk through Namsan's Korean Forest Garden and observe insects - What is an insect? - Learn insect anatomy through song - Stories of the various insects found on Namsan 2. Ecological game—food-chain story - Role-card game (grass, grasshopper, praying mantis, bird, hawk) 3. Explore the praying mantis - Storytelling about the praying mantis's hunting methods and camouflage 4. Forest craft activity - Make your own grassland insect: a praying mantis - Color the praying mantis's body with natural materials - Experience the protective coloration that praying mantises use as a survival strategy Program Information - Dates and times: Saturdays, August (8) 1, 8, 15, and 22, morning (10:00–11:30) and afternoon (14:00–15:30) - Eligibility: Families with lower-grade elementary school students - Capacity: 20 people - Meeting point: Hannam Park Visitor Support Center - How to participate: Seoul Public Service Reservation (http://yeyak.seoul.go.kr) What to Bring - Water, a hat, comfortable clothes, and sneakers (Directions) (1) From Seoul Station Exit 4, board bus 402 or 405 at the Sungnyemun bus stop, get off at Grand Hyatt Seoul, cross the overpass, turn left, and follow the accessible deck to meet at the Hannam Park Visitor Support Center. (2) From City Hall Station Exit 8, take bus 402, get off in front of Grand Hyatt Seoul, cross the overpass, turn left, and follow the accessible deck to meet at the Hannam Park Visitor Support Center. (3) From Hangangjin Station Exit 2, take bus 405, get off across from Grand Hyatt Seoul, turn around, continue 100 m, and enter Namsan Park on the left to reach the Hannam Park Visitor Support Center. * There is no parking. Please use public transportation. 4. Important Notes ■ Please cancel your reservation through “My Page” at least 3 days in advance. ■ Canceled if the temperature is 33°C or higher or -12°C or lower (based on the Korea Meteorological Administration forecast at 5:00 p.m. on the day before the program). ■ Canceled if the probability of precipitation is 70% or higher (based on the Korea Meteorological Administration forecast at 5:00 p.m. on the day before the program). ■ The program will not operate if enrollment is below 50% of capacity. ■ Canceled if the fine-dust forecast exceeds 150 μg/m³ (based on the Seoul Air Quality Information fine-dust forecast alerts and action guidelines). * If a guardian will also participate, please include them in the number of people reserved.
