Hear stories about the Hanyang City Wall while admiring Seoul’s beautiful nightscape from the Namsan Octagonal Pavilion at the summit, and enjoy a leisure activity that lets you experience the tranquility of the Namsan Sky Forest Trail! 1. Program concept and venue introduction_Distribution of glow bracelets 2. Namsan Octagonal Pavilion at the summit - The pavilion at night: Its origins and stories of nearby heritage sites - The role of the restored beacon mound and how signals were relayed - Take in the nighttime view of downtown Seoul 3. Namsan section of the Hanyang City Wall - How the Hanyang City Wall was built and the history of its restoration - Compare the scenery inside and outside the wall - Walk along the city wall trail 4. Namsan Sky Forest Trail and relaxation - Experience the culture and history along the newly created Sky Forest Trail - Reflect on yourself through the healing elements of nature Program Overview - Dates and times: Thursdays and Fridays, August (8)—6, 7, 13, and 14 (19:00-20:30) - Eligibility: Families accompanying elementary school students - Capacity: 20 people - Meeting point: Namsan Octagonal Pavilion (8-1 Yejang-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul) - How to participate: Seoul Public Service Reservation (http://yeyak.seoul.go.kr) What to Bring - Drinking water, mosquito repellent, personal flashlight; wear sneakers Address: 8-1 Yejang-dong, Jung-gu, Seoul Directions ⓵ From Exit 2 of Chungmuro Station (Lines 3 and 4) -> Board circular bus 01A or 01B at the bus stop -> Get off at the Namsan Seoul Tower stop -> Walk 3-5 minutes toward the tower to the Namsan Octagonal Pavilion at the summit ⓶ From Exit 6 of Dongguk University Station (Line 3) -> Board circular bus 01A or 01B at the bus stop toward the National Theater of Korea -> Get off at the Namsan Seoul Tower stop -> Walk 3-5 minutes toward the tower to the Namsan Octagonal Pavilion at the summit 4. Important Information ■ Please cancel through “My Page” at least 3 days in advance. ■ Canceled when the temperature is 33°C or higher / -12°C or lower (based on the Korea Meteorological Administration forecast at 5 PM on the day before the program). ■ Canceled when the probability of precipitation is 70% or higher (based on the Korea Meteorological Administration forecast at 5 PM on the day before the program). ■ The program will not operate if enrollment is below 50% of capacity. ■ Canceled when the fine-dust forecast exceeds 150 ㎍/㎥ (based on the fine-dust alerts and response guidelines of Seoul Air Quality Information). * If guardians will also participate, please include them in the number of people reserved.
