Jung-gu Sunday Forest Solitude Healing Trek: Namsan-Maebongsan Who: Grade 1 students through adults (age 69 or younger) able to hike without difficulty / *** Minors must be accompanied by a guardian *** Capacity: 2-10 people / If 9 people cancel after all 10 spots are booked, leaving only 1 participant, the program will be canceled (the participant will be notified individually) Time: Every Saturday and Sunday, 10:00-15:00± Where: Outside Exit 4 of Hoehyeon Station at 10:00 AM / The meeting location is scheduled to change each month. What: Heal in the forest through Forest Solitude *** Learn hiking fundamentals *** Walk quietly, experience the forest with all five senses, become one with the forest, and rediscover your true self in nature *** Learn a variety of basic hiking skills *** 1- Hiking Fundamentals: Walking techniques, breathing techniques, wearing and packing a backpack, using poles, tying hiking boot laces, and more 2- Mountain Safety: CPR practice, bandaging, triangular bandages, responding to emergencies, rescue knots, map reading, and more 3- Hiking Culture: LNT (Leave No Trace), protecting nature, and more What to Bring: Hiking boots if possible (trekking shoes are acceptable), hiking chair, mat, drinking water, simple meal (trail food), snacks, towel change of clothes, cup, utensils, insect-bite treatment, mosquito repellent, arm sleeves, trekking poles (if needed), and other personal items. Simple meal (trail food) *** In hot weather, avoid foods that spoil easily *** 1- Something you enjoy eating. 2- High-calorie food (mainly carbohydrates) - Meat is not recommended. 3- Lightweight and ready to eat. 4- Pack to minimize waste. 5- Minimize the use of disposable items. Route: The route and finish time may be extended, shortened, or changed depending on conditions that day.
